What would you like to be ready for?
Start with one area or three. Every plan is built from your own answers.
Kids at school
Know your school's emergency and reunification plan, set up backup pickup adults, and give each kid a card with the numbers they need.
Plan for thisStaying in touch
Build a family communication plan: two meeting spots, an out-of-area contact, and alerts that still work when the power is out.
Plan for thisEvacuation
A 10-minute grab list, go-bags for everyone (pets too), and two ways out of your neighborhood.
Plan for thisHome safety
Smoke alarm checks, a kitchen fire extinguisher, and a family fire drill your kids will actually remember.
Plan for thisFood & supplies
Build emergency food and water slowly: one gallon of water per person per day, and shelf-stable food you already eat.
Plan for thisHealth & outbreaks
A sick-day bin, a buffer of daily medications, and your family's health info in one place.
Plan for thisYour Family Ready Playbook

Plans that fit where you live
Add your zip code and we'll flag the local risks worth knowing about, like wildfire, flooding, hurricanes, or winter storms, including ones you didn't think to ask about.
You picked Evacuation, which covers wildfire. We'll add a flood insurance check to your plan.

Readiness isn't about fear. It's about more good years.
The school-morning rush, the kids heading off to college, coffee with your parents on a Sunday. Getting ready now protects the everyday moments you're working so hard for.

Family readiness, answered
Straight answers to what families ask us most.
What is a family emergency plan?
A family emergency plan covers how you'll reach each other, where you'll meet, how you'll leave home if you need to, and what supplies you'll need. READY! builds yours step by step from a short set of questions.
What should go in a go-bag?
Start with water, snacks, a change of clothes, phone chargers, copies of IDs, a small first-aid kit, and any daily medications. Add pet food and baby supplies if you need them.
How much emergency water should a family store?
Plan on one gallon per person per day, for at least three days. A family of four needs at least 12 gallons.
Is READY! free?
Yes. The Plan Builder, your snapshot, and your Family Ready Playbook are free. The full app is in development with a small group of founding families.
What do you do with my answers?
We use them to build your results and your playbook. We also look at answers in aggregate, with no name or email attached, to decide what to build next. Your zip code is used to look up local risks. You don't need an account, and your email is optional. See our privacy policy.
We don't have kids. Is READY! still useful?
Yes. Kids at school is just one area. Evacuation, home safety, food and supplies, staying in touch, and health apply to every household, including couples and people caring for aging parents.
Where does the local risk information come from?
Local risk flags are based on public hazard data, such as FEMA's National Risk Index, matched to your county.
What do you want to be ready for?
Three minutes. No account. A plan your family can actually start this week.
